product was exactly what I needed, price was excellant for quantity, packaging for shipment could be better, due to weight of product shipping carton and product package itself were damaged, unsure if any contents lost.
The Hitachi NV75AG is a terrific coil nailer. Because it shoots sheathing thru framing nails the 75AG could be the only framing nailer in your toolbox. The real advantage of this gun is the (lack of) weight. Compared to any gun that will do the same, this gun is light. It may seem a little heavy when it's loaded with a full coil of 3" framing nails but it's not long before the coil gets shorter and then the gun is really nice to use. Everything about the 75AG is well designed and manufactured. Hitachi simply makes the best nail guns. I have owned and still own, Senco, Paslode, Makita, DeWalt and Max guns and I'm convinced Hitachi is the best. If I had to get down to just one it would be the NV75AG, the most versatile and comfortable gun I have used.
This tool on my "wish list" and I was delighted when I received it as a gift.
I have used linesman pliers and slip joint pliers for years to pull nails out. In general this is MUCH BETTER!
I will admit when I tried to pull nails out of 40 year old wood they didn't all come out. But I have reached for them many times over the last few months - you will use it more than you think!
Bought a box to go with my new Senco gun which I also purchased from Amazon. They work great together and are cheaper than any local hardware store. Quality product!
I have used break-away pins prior to the purchase of my Porter Cable pneumatic pinner, and will likely never go back. I do have to say though, that using pins as long as the 1", make sure that you have at least 100lbs psi to work with. If not, the heads will not completely recess, at least into 3/4" red oak. Worth mentioning, they are only good to pin an item until the glue sets...if you need strength, go with at least an 18ga nailer.
This is a great value for price, and as an added bonus they are of good quality as well. These nails actually perform better in my Bostich nailer than Bostich brand nails.
